It doesn't have to be Pamix exactly.
Any 50 mg/ml pyrantel product will suffice.

Pamix is a name brand which you will end up paying more for. For instance, TSC has Nemex which is another name brand for pyrantel. It is $19.99 for 2 oz. If you order the generic pyrantel from http://www.revivalanimal.com/ you will get 16 oz. of pyrantel for the same price.

Pamix is not the main brand name (Nemex and Strongid are).
Pamix is an off-label brand that is cheaper, that I happened to mention in my book (at the time I wrote it), but don't get caught up on "the brand name" Pamix (or any other name). Instead, read the true message in my book and understand the principle of saving money
Keep in mind that "brand names come and go" ... but the principle I wrote about will remain the same.
The main principle I outlined was to get THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT and look it up in the vet catalogues (AT THE RIGHT %).
The active ingredient is Pyrantel pamoate at 50 mg/ml.
Using this basic principle, just look up THE DRUG (Pyrantel pamoate), not any brand name, and make sure the % of this drug is 50mg/ml (not 5mg). Various companies make this drug, and they will have various "brand names," you just need to choose the cheapest one. Here's what I use from one of the cheapest places I've found: Pyrantel pamoate (http://www.lambertvetsupply.com/Pyrantel-Pamoate_p_2115.html)
That is just one example and happens to be the one I use now, but there are plenty of other catalogues and off-label brands to choose from, so long as they have the right drug at the right %, and get you the cheapest price.

Lambert Vet Supply or "Lambriar" has 50mg/ml Pyrantel pamoate on sale this month for $26.00 for 32oz. bottle!
