When is your dog considered brood stock and does one have to be inbred or line bred . And I've also heard that your performance stock is different than your brood. basically is that your brood is to make your performers .Don't know if I made any sense but I tried my best and thanks alot

When? After they are game tested and pass.
Yes it would be better if they are line bred or inbred because you will know exactly what you will get.
No not true about brood being different from performers. If you study the pedigrees of the great dogs from the past, most of the great ones are either line bred, inbred, or crossed from line or inbred dogs. Having an inbred or line bred dog as your brood will give you a better chance at producing good dogs than a mix blood dog, in a shorter time frame.
