Since the database allows for the uploading of 4 photos per dog (plus a video), I wanted to share some photos of some great old time dogs that some of the membership here have been kind enough to contribute :)

J. Crenshaw's Ch Jeep (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=406)

STP's Gr Ch Buck (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=346)

Cates' Gr Ch Nigerino (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=1256)

I would like to thank BxPits, Prairiedog, Scratchin' Dog, PonchDay, and Bubba J for their contributions here, and remember, the Media Center allows members to upload videos also, so if any of you have some video clips of any famous dogs (including your own!) you can upload these too :)

I will be continuously adding photos, and will announce when I do here, so this thread will eventually get pretty large :D

Enjoy,

Jack

Nice. Funny to see how some modern day dogs still look so much alike their grandparents.

It's also funny to see that every dog with Patrick's Tessy in it looks like a Poncho dog, since Tessy was really Ch Hammer's brother

Try again, not Butkus...

Clue #2:
His daddy was a 4XW also, and produced very well in a handful of breedings.

His daddy dad was the Top of the food chain as a producer when that was being recorded by the SDJ.

I will reveal the answer after 2 more guesses. :D

PS: Who'd he beat/lose to?

He beat Ramrod's Jammer (Lundsford's Bronson) same dog, can't remember the other two he beat off the top of my head. He lost game and part of his face to Vietnam's CH Spike 4XW, who Stopped CH Stallone.

Great old photos! Thanks so much for sharing them.

A question on the color of Clouse's Big Boy and Feeley's Gene, they are both listed as black dogs, but could they be brindle dogs?

Looks like brindle color by Big Boy's ear and Gene looks to have brindle stripes on his sides in those old photos. Brindle was a far more common color back then. I know it is hard to tell color in many of those old black and white photos, but it was a thought.

Also could the approximate era be added to some of these old time dogs? Such as "from the 1940s" to give a better idea of when these dogs were alive.
