Not that extreme but have seen many hunters lose interest after long periods of time off and breeding. It's pretty common behavior if the dog has not been hunting in a long time. JMO

It happens to certain males. Their mentality changes, another word for it is pussy wooped. Some don't believe in it cause they never seen dogs act like that. So yes breeding does affect some dogs. There are some keeps that could fix that problem.

Interesting.
I have bred/owned dozens and dozens of superb males, but only one has ever acted like that: Duke Nukem (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=348). That is one of the reasons I got rid of Duke Nukem: when he stopped his half-brother Anthrax (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=10136) in a roll, he tried to hump him.
Duke was a very game dog; he never so much as committed a turn in his life; he scratched hard as hell, and he threw MULTIPLE 2-3 hour dogs as a producer. In fact no dog ever matched off Duke ever quit ... but as a performer Duke couldn't bust a grape, and his idea of "finishing" was to hump the other dog, and so I got rid of him over this.
My best dogs (Poncho, Stormbringer, Icon, Silverback, etc.) all bred a lot of bitches too ... but they never, ever tried to hump a male at any time for any reason ... and "being bred" never affected how they performed in the [] afterward. They would immediately hit another male, and with bad intentions.
I consider that a definite weakness in an animal to "change" like that. As the old man told me, "Jack, a dog needs to show me the same thing every time, or I won't trust my money on that dog."

I don't think it is sex drive; I think it is lack of killer aggression.

Let me elaborate.
My stud dog who did this, Duke Nukem, liked to fight ... but he never once exhibited what I would call bad intentions. He never really tried to hurt anything. He would ride the head, and (when the other dog got tired) he would go to humping them. Never made a bad move (as far as cur signs go), never turned, never made a sound, he would scratch all night long, and he had very good stamina. But he was never a threat to anything. It was boring as hell to watch him.
By contrast, my really good dogs (like Poncho, Icon, Stormbringer & Silverback) were not just "having fun" out there ... they had truly bad intentions and they hated the dog in front of them. So I don't see how a dog like that will ever try to breed another male, just because he breeds a bitch. These other studs routinely bred bitches ... and they did so as willingly as Duke Nukem did ... so they had a great sex drive also. But when they were in the box (even though they were mostly head dogs themselves), the key difference is they were FINISHERS ... they were seriously trying to dispatch their opponents, not just hang onto them ... especially Stormbringer and Silverback, who could put a dog away immediately.
In fact, all of these dogs would finish a bitch too, and would go after her every bit as intensely as they would another male, if she pissed them off.
