in the last year and a bit since i started getting the bug i have had a lot of bad luck with dogs at end of last year i cooked my best up and coming pig dog then lost a good pig dog then had my best dog crippled boar ripped his ciatic nerve out lost a good young bitch for 2 weeks found her with her front leg near amputated my game plug broke his back leg my game plug damaged the ankle on my only good pig dog left then just a few weeks ago my prospect drowned catching a shit sow in a dam now the other day my plug has damaged his hip. I never had so much drama but keep percivearing trying to get some thing happening thats not counting the 1's ive culled. Then you try start conversation with someone in messages to be called a cop. I have tried to be real forward and no bullshit on this site as i see people here know there shit out of hope i might get a few handy contacts i think i have added more than most to this site just putting myself out there to be taken serious if thats all you get in these dogs maybe i should stick to the pig hunting...

well buddy I can tell u with these dogs/dogmen YOU need to be patient. put your dews in and don't act like such a greenhorn. nobody is good to trust you with there dogs that they have put years into and a tons of $ beside pedders . also with these dog a lot of shit is going to happen you r going to lose dogs/ its an ongoing battle with these peta/hsus/ac/cops . so a lot of guys just stick with who they know. so all I can say is good luck with your mutts.

nah never heard of it mate and i just ask what im thinking if it not right no one needs to reply or someone could tell me delete it, but as i said a thousand times im just a pig hunter got no idea whats safe questions they didnt sound bad in my mind i read comments i wonder about though like tearing a muzzle off make me wonder what i started.

I have been real busy lately, and can't baby-sit as much, but people should be able to ask whatever questions they want ... and if "you" don't feel like answering, or involving yourself in the discussion, then don't.

This post really doesn't offer any useful info, it is essentially a rant, nothing more.

If you're trying to learn "better practices" then you need to say HOW your dogs took all this damage (lost their lives), etc., not just "that" they did.

If I say, "My dogs died," and I am looking to learn how not to have this happen again, then how in the world can anyone help me unless I actually take the time to describe the situations that led up to their demise/injury? A person has to have the basic sense to think about things like this, if he expects to get anywhere. If you don't offer any useful information to go on, you can't expect to get any useful information in return.

I have had hundreds of people over the years (perhaps thousands by now) say to me, "My dog ain't feeling good," and they expect me to prescribe some miracle solution for them based on ZERO usable information. How in TF am I supposed to figure out what's wrong with their dog from "My dog's sick"? There is no possible way.

This forum is a means of communication, but it is only as effective as the communication skills (effort) of those who use it. It is fine and dandy if you want to rant (up to a point where it becomes an eyesore), but if you expect to have a meaningful exchange, then you need to slow down, put some thought into what you write, and give some meaningful input yourself first. Like for instance describing the events that led up to the problem, etc. But just ranting about all your woes is just that: ranting.

Why do you care? This is not a forum to talk about gossippy BS, and it is not about YOU, it is a forum to talk dogs. Get over yourself.

For example, I have been called every name in the book over the years, little of it true (except I can be a jerk :mrgreen:), but I don't sit on here and cry about it. If someone directly attacks you on this forum, and I don't see it, then alert me (or one of the moderators), and we will get a handle on it. There is no reason you (or anyone) should be attacked here.

On the one hand, you have to understand that everyone with dogs is a little paranoid, and on the other hand folks have to understand that this is a place to talk bulldogs ... and everyone has the right to join-in on the discussion OR NOT ... but that doesn't give them license to attack you baselessly or due to their paranoia.

Therefore, you should feel free to ask any questions you like ... and if other members don't feel comfortable participating they don't have to. If any member is concerned about who you are, they can PM me privately ... and if any of them starts running their mouths at you, then PM me (or a moderator) and someone will take care of it.

Baseless attacks and speculations against other members will not be tolerated here, so I am sorry if I have missed some of the drama, but that is what the other moderators should be handling while I am not here :idea:
