Got off work early to meet the Killer Klown and get him his bitch back I had just bred up. It was looking like a day to go sit in my stand and wait on bambi to walk thru. Should have stayed home. Got home and my big 50 lb bitch meets me in the drive way covered in blood. WTF!!!!! I snatch her up, run inside, throw her in a crate and head out back to see who is missing or dead. My damn CH Nyla bitch is missing so I grab a flash light hop the 6 foot privacy fence and start looking for her. She was laid out breathing hard at 38 pounds I'm glad she is still alive. Got her inside cleaned up, stapled up, med up and put up.

These bitches got out to chase feral cats ran into each other and Nyla got the worst of it. Antibiotics and Anti-inflammatory meds for everyone including my old ass who should not have been jumping a fence like a freaking teenager.

Thru the back of their kennels. It looks like they jumped and pushed until they knocked the screws out of the tops and over the fence they went and into each other.

Spent allday yesterday thinking like a engineer and redoing kennels. They are doing good but I still feel like I need to dex them even if my vet said no. 1 cc would not be a bad thing

One cc of dex is a waste of time if they're in shock ...

If you're just using it for swelling, it still isn't enough ...

Hey Jack I was just talking to my wife about it and she said not to use it because it will slow down the healing process. so the other anti-inflammatory meds will work just fine.

That can be true of all cortico-steroids, if used over extended periods of time, but isn't really applicable if only used for a few days "to get them over the hump" ...

You don't need to dex the dog. Leave them be.

This is why I like this board so much. Honest none bullshit answers. The girls are doing good. The big girl is back out in her kennel because she is just a pain in the butt to keep inside plus she only took some front leg and chest bites. The little girl is doing well and came out of her crate this morning waggin her tail and acting like nothing was wrong. I have them both on meds but the little girl is still getting scrubs every three days to remove the dying skin and scabs. She stinks to high heaven . She is eating the same ground mush I am feeding the pups.
