I have the PBB and in it i know you do cover a wide range of antibiotics and their uses but i do have a couple you dont cover and i was wondering if you might tell me whether or not they would be us full on our dogs. I have a verity of these high end IV antibiotics (small quantity/verity) that my wife cannot take so if they can be of use to some in the sport/hunt id like to know. Thanks for all the knowledge you have shared. The sporting dog world is far different now than its ever before been, with the laws and Internet and such. For novice aspiring dogmen like me you as a learning resource for gaining theory is invaluable. God Bless Jack
This new forum is really nice, thanks.

First of all, thank you very much for your kind words and contribution of letting us all know about this drug.

Unfortunately, I have never heard of it, so the best I could do would be to "analyze it out loud" here on this forum. Since it is indicated in severe skin infections "including MRSA, gram-negative, anaerobic, and atypical pathogens," it might well have specific application to dogs, especially those that develop serious infections for which other, standard antibiotics aren't seeming to work.

What I would suggest is that you ask your vet if this drug might have application to a dog, and maybe you could report your findings back here

Thanks again for making me aware of a drug I had never heard of before ... knowledge is power!

Jack
