Iv read that venison isn't as good to feed as chicken, because of the low fat content, but can't oils be added to the diet as a source of fat???

Yes they can. As long as the macronutrient proportions are ok, you are fine. What oils do you think about?

Macronutrients are the proteins, carbs and fats. Micronutrients are vitamins, minerals etc.
I know canola oil is used a lot in food industry but I never searched it, olive oil is a high class product and what I use as extra fat, but I do live in Greece, so it has a low price.
