I was wondering if anybody has tried pulling work as described by Jack with resistance or strength bands instead of with chains?
My train of thought here is that it would seem that a dog pulling on a resistance or strength band would have to deal with not only pulling but also with the force of the band pulling him backwards.
For example when the dog gets to the point that it can't pull any farther, the dog would come to a stand still (if it's strong enough) and in the process it would be doing an isometric hold, in which the dog uses it's strength to avoid being pulled back.
So in all the dog would be sprinting, pulling and doing isometric holds all at the same time.
