Good grief, I just replaced about 15 duplicate dogs. JKS256 you have just created more problems that were not even necessary. Undoing all the work S_B and the rest of us are trying to fix or get rid of. Time for Jack to have a little one on one chat with you.

If you have some legit new dog pedigrees that you personally bred up or dogs you bought and own. You can go back into those duplicate pedigrees you created and replace them with one of your new dogs. Dogs that have changed hands many times can not be entered numerous times under the different owner's names. That information can be listed in the narrative space.

Best to use the first owner or the last owner. That will depend who's pedigree got entered first with the most pedigrees and if having also a picture attached. Take time to enter the dog's name first and see if it is there. Look at the relative listing as well. Might already be another duplicate under another name that needs fixing.

Look and Watch, Look and Watch, Look and watch, those instructional video's Jack has provided on this subject. Very important thing to do first, before entering any new pedigrees. Slow down and do it right. I too have made the same mistake and had to fix a bunch of the same type mistakes.

What is the actual name of the kennel?

1) If, as I have seen it, the kennel name is Blackrocks Kennels, then all of the other entries are wrong; Blackrocks' XXX is correct;

2) If, as I have not seen it, the kennel name is Blackrock Kennels, only then is Blackrock's XXX correct.

In other words, just putting in "Blackrocks" would be like putting in Rebel (as opposed to Rebel Kennels) or Southern (as opposed to Southern Kennels).

The owner/breeder should always be the full kennels name, in this case Blackrocks Kennels.

I don't think you need your privilege restored to enter pedigrees and here's why.
You have entered 136 pedigrees here and I've found 33 F-up's in just a few minutes of looking at your data entry.
You said you haven't had time to fix your mistakes yet you've found the time to create them. It will take much more time for Jack and the Mods to fix this mess you've created.

I put in 243 hours last month on my job investigating major death/products liability cases, then on my "free time" I am building another colossal database, and am also trying to keep tabs on this one.

I agree, it is storable data, however most people don't bother to remember the date, so we changed it to a simple check box, which anyone can remember whether the dog is dead or not (lol), just maybe not the "date of" ...

One other thing all we members can do. If you find a duplicate pedigree with no offspring and has no syntax problems etc. You have a interesting new dog pedigree with complete sire and dam info. Just replace the duplicate dog that has no offspring with your new dog.

You can also enter the word duplicate on a male or female selection in the pedigree search section. Find a duplicate pedigree with no off spring listing. Can replace those with a new dog pedigree. Better than just deleting dogs. Some dogs have been accidently deleted that should have been corrected and left in the system for research purposes. Once deleted only Jack can reinstate the dog. I agree that most of these are just stupid ridiculous mistakes that I made,. I was going to delete before those privileges were taken away from the entire community, and then i did not know how until the big announcement. Then i said i would fix them but did not have the time lately and my computer was down also ,,,but some of those peds were copied over directly from online peds i entered them in as they were there i put the names of the dogs in, and most of the time copied and pasted,, but then noticed that sometimes the apostrophe can be moved around to find the correct dog ,,most of the peds that are out of whack are from when i first joined out of 138 dogs 20 of them i would have deleted and did not know what a pain it was going to be for the staff,,,i did not purposely continue to enter double pedigrees ,i put the dogs name in as it was on peds online which has way more dog in it's data base so whenever i look up a dog and it is not our data base i put the dogs in to widen our data base , i thought that is what we were supposed to do..
I F#*KED UP it is all on me ,,,BUT lf given the chance i will clean up my mess promptly and never cause an issue again ,,i planned on being a part of this community for a long time.. i have two subscriptions ,,which are on one account ,and by the way they should be being ran consecutive instead of concurrent , i do not know if jack knows that or not but one should start when the other one expires,,,,,,,

I am very sorry about your family's situation, truly, and thank you for keeping it cool under the circumstances.

This is the kind of thing I have to deal with, an a daily basis, for my job as a casualty investigator. One of the cases I am working on, right now, a woman got run over by a bus, popped her brain across 2 lanes of traffic, and I have to locate, pin down, and statementize the 54 witness listed on the police report ... as well as her family members, etc. That's just one file ... and I have about 40 casualty files I investigate.

On another case I have, dude was driving home with his family (he's 28, in his prime, Marine; his wife is 23, gorgeous; their baby girl is 1 year old sitting in the back car-seat). They're driving along on a desert highway, 65 mph, and the other party (coming the other direction) loses control and hits them head-on. WHAM! Everything changes. Dude is half-conscious, right arm broken, both upper legs broken, face chopped all to pieces. Looks over. Beautiful wife, girl of his dreams, DOA: shattered spine, torn liver, gone forever. Blink of an eye. Baby Girl? She broke her little neck, and smacked her head against the back of mommy's seat, the combination of which will leave her a quadriplegic with brain damage for the rest of her ruined life.

I have to go out there, interview every survivor and witness, try to keep a dry eye, and make sure I have all the facts straight ... because the entire lawyer's cases/and insurance company $$$ is all based on MY investigation and reporting, which work also has a deadline, etc. Think there's any stress there? Little pressure?

Again, those are but two cases of a caseload of about 40 such files, so I deal with some pretty serious shit too. As serious as it gets, and I put in 225-250 hrs/month, not behind a desk, but on the road, 2,000-3,000 miles a month, all over southern CA, dealing with stuff like this. (And I am not even going to bother mentioning maintaining this site, while creating another site that is twice as complicated.) When I get home, which sometimes isn't till 9-10pm, I don't get to watch TV or sleep. I get to check/respond to emails, and then draft reports on all the investigation I conducted, mount photos, upload digital statements, make a full case and presentation, etc.

So, as I said, when some person tells me "he" doesn't have the time to handle "his own" mistakes, and can't even put in a GD pedigree correctly ... and expects ME to correct it for him ... it makes me want take a claw hammer to anyone who says stuff like this, because (truly) few people are as busy or deal with serious shit like I do. You sound like one, due to personal reasons, and again I truly hope everything turns out for the best in your situation.

In the end though, I am the one who truly doesn't have the time to deal with people who don't follow directions. They just get the boot. Period.

On the other hand, anyone who expresses genuine regret, AND a willingness to make it right, I will be glad to change things back ... as I want people to have fun here ... I just want them to BE CONSCIENTIOUS :mrgreen:

Before I will delete any duplicate pedigrees YOU made, YOU need to unhook the offspring you created (and offspring-of-offspring, if applicable), via change pedigree (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/content.php?244) instructions, and get all that shit straight FIRST, before you ask "me" to go do all of this shit "for you."

Also, if you added a duplicate pedigree, and you have a photo in your duplicate (but the original does not, or doesn't have your photo) ADD YOUR PHOTO before you ask me to delete the pedigree.

Again, I am more than happy to do what you CAN'T do (deletions, permission changes, etc. ... including corrections on peds "someone else" did that you don't have permissions over) ... but I will NOT do things that YOUR LAZY ASS could perfectly well do yourself.

This will clean-up all of the crappola people have added, as far as breeder names/owner names go.

Once that is perfected, we are going to (1) implement a "Merge Bulldogs" feature, and (2) make ALL FURTHER ADDED DOGS/BREEDERS/OWNERS GET PUT INTO A QUEUE BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY GET ENTERED, for Admin/Moderator approval, so that the issue of idiots entering in duplicate dogs/breeders/owners can be vanquished, once and for all.

I assume the pedigree on Trowery's Nitrous (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=4358) is wrong. On peds online it shows Trowery's Nitrous' sire bred completely different. I am pretty sure Hell On Earth's Ch. Bumper (4xw) is the correct sire and the pedigree which appears in "our" database is wrong. If you are not "entering complete names" ... then you are doing things WRONG and creating duplicate data.

Duplicate data ruins databases. It undermines their functionality.

That is okay to do on PedsOnline, since the data there is USELESS ... they don't store any useful, usable information. They don't have separate data tables for everything. They never set themselves up properly. Everything would have to be re-done, and re-entered on PedsOnline, for them to produce the results that we can produce here.

Unfortunately, the lazy, ignorant mofos "here" undermine our capabilities.
These lazy folks will either EDUCATE THEMSELVES and CHANGE ... or they will BE REMOVED.

Now, the good news is the new features we are developing will help the lazy and stupid ... by PREVENTING anymore bad data (all new peds/names, etc.) will be put into a QUALITY CONTROL QUEUE ... but I strongly suggest that ALL existing members LOOK OVER their data entry (My Pedigrees) ... because when we start the condensing here, and begin the bad data elimination process, YOU WILL GET FLUSHED if you have been one of the lazy, habitual offenders.

So don't cry about it when it happens ... EVERYONE has been asked to do this enough times that it should have been done already ... so if it's not done, and you're one of the bozos that puts in KNLS for KENNELS, etc., etc., don't cry when the milk gets spilt :waahh:

But it isn't capitalized when it queues the matches nor do they display capitalized in the my pedigrees section. What happens is, in the old "delete breeder" and "delete owner" way of doing things, it simply vaporized the breeder/owner.

In doing so, the SQL query in the dog ID (associated with that deleted breeder/owner) "couldn't find" the now-deleted breeder/owner as part of the DOG ID, and so reported the dog as "deleted" too ...

In manually-changing the breeder of 7494 from the deleted breeder to 1 (unknown), the SQL query can now "find" the breeder and display the dog.

2 Things have been upgraded: 1) when we delete breeders/owners in our new feature set, it is automatically flushing any dogs the deleted breeder/owner is associated with to having UNK breeders/owners, so the dogs will still display, and 2) my brother is going to run a MySQL script on Monday that will automatically change all of the old-deletes from "vaporized" to having breeders/owners back to UNKNOWN status, so all associated dogs will display.

Please look at the pedigree for Fox's Dottie. I guarantee that Tudor's Red isn't bred that way...lol... He is way back in the pedigree of my dogs and Hunter Red wasn't even thought of at that point. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how he was actually bred. My ADBA pedigree doesn't go back that far.
