Stud question

What yall think of studing a male dog to see what he might and might not produce ? If the owner do not got the place for a whole litter, he studs the male for a pup or a smaller amount cash.

There is no way to find out what a stud will throw, unless you breed him, but the real question to ask is do you want more dogs like your stud?

If the answer is no, why breed him at all then?
If the answer is yes, by all means try to make more of "him" 8-)

The litter produce one male. We breed him young as a stand in for his half bro Mortimer D Outlaw, also down from Cassius, who doesn't want to breed to his double bred Cassius half sister. The litter produce I believe 8. 3 of these are still in that yard, I own one as do 2 kennel partners, and two were farmed out. The pups are about 6-7mo right now and so far are a faster paced "Cassius" dogs than we have seen while "CLAYDAY" himself was not as fast a paced pup/dog himself. While we breed him early b4 he show the interest much, his pups show the interest since their teeth were come'n in! I just have a feeling about this youngster. Him and his sisters are very spirited animals and I think they will produce dogs that will do well on the circuit.

Thats a nice stud you had there Whispers, like how the little pup is bred up wish you best of luck with him.

I'm really the only one in the camp dig'n him. I like the whole litter but he aint "on" yet so he gets looked over. The litter is 2yrs old now and I would only guess his breedings would get better as time passes as long as he's bred correctly.

Thanks. And thanks Jack for send'n me to them good reads. I'm fairly new to the breeding but I try to do my homework and I can't help but to follow my gut. I know that time is the biggest thing in the dogs and I got plenty of that. So, we'll see... Thanks again!
