View Full Version : Eric & Orion Zetterquist
Would like very much to contact these Brothers. My old phone # from them is no longer correct. These brothers lived in Indian Trail N.C. Right out of Monroe S.C. going into Charlotte N.C. Think their kennel was called Little Creek Kennels. One of their female dogs is listed on here as Little Creek Kennel's Shyla.
Hoping maybe someone knows of their where abouts or a contact #. We did some dog breeding /trading etc. years back. They owned the little Crazy Critter male stud dog. Thank for any info. if any.

Check your pm's sir.
Thank You Rumble Fish. I may have already called this fellow. But will call to make sure. I know Orion & Eric had moved from Indian Trail N.C. but to where not sure. Probably out of the dog game and doing other things of interest. They had some dogs out of my Jake dog and their Crazy Critter dog bred to my Face bitch. That looked like a good breeding that is shown in their Shlya bitch. Will try to call Harris today and see if he knows what happen to them.
Sad to say I may have waited to long to find out how my old dog buddies are doing. Would love to speak to J. Spruill from Lumberton N.C. his phone # is no longer in service. Jacob could probably get me up to date.Lot of #'s have changed and people moved or passed on. Can not locate S. Shropshire as well. My time line era is ending and younger others are carrying on.

Johnny....we had a great time in the day. I will always consider you one of the truly great breeders of anytime...and most certainly one of the most under rated. I sure wish I would have bred to the Joker dog Sonny had and I wish I had bred that Cummings bitch I had to Chuck....but most of all I wish you had stayed in longer. I tell people that when you got out I never thought Vernon J. was the same...he missed your insight. Was wondering...I think you were there at Marty's when I first rolled Panther on a dogs from Lonzo...and when Lonzo saw the roll he tried like hell to buy him...roll lasted about 2 mins.;)...I knew he was special. We shared some good times and I cherish them. At least we connected back up...I still have a super little pup for you if interested...Your friend always and always much respect Tarheel Matt
PS...you knew me when I was very inexperienced and much of what i did was from advice from you and reading your old letters from Orbie Coplin...a wealth of information
Ditto Tar Heel. Thanks for the compliment. Had to keep a low profile working for Ma Bell. Never could plan anything much or have a regular schedule to work dogs properly. Even joined the National Guards for around 12 years to help pay the dog feed bill etc. LOL
V. J. was still the best at that. He already had a good knowledge of feeding and how to work a dog when he was transferred to Paris Island S.C. At that time V.J. was good friends with D. Mayfield and when he was in Florida was good friends with B. Davis and that group of dog men.
For a while I was the poster child of what not to do in trying to feed/work a dog. Vernon finally had to sit me down and explain why the simpler common sense way is the best way. For me to quit trying to make things ten times better. LOL Another thing I learned was to have all of the known and well made equipment to work a dog. A building etc. to stay out of bad weather is a must. A large Jenny/outside over head cable run and relying on just road work does not work to well in foul weather. A large built low to the ground round table and a good quality tread mill is a must for back up.
I did meet Lonzo one time at Marty's place. But do not remember any dog pulling action. I know later Lonzo revisted Marty and I missed that get together. That was when you probably were there and Marty may have loaned out that brindle Coplin bred bitch I had gave him. That bitch dog was only about 15 months old. Think that little bitch got treated real bad. Marty never got her back. Marty was a great fellow and I enjoyed my visits and stay with him. He came down and wired up my large Building for lights and power. We did some dog trading on that deal. Marty was a excellent and professional master Electrician.
Marty had another little bitch off the Mayfield Snake stuff we had back then. Seems he kept her when he quit the dogs and made a house pet out of her. Do not know if he ever bred his Johnny dog to her. Should have produced some good dogs.
Marty did breed his Johnny dog to a bitch called Brinson's Dina out of my dogs and W. Truett's dogs. One bitch ended up with Harry Hargrove and was named Hargrove's Jeepster. Plan to come up and visit you some time this summer or early Fall, if the Lord willing. Having trouble with R.A., got to get it more under control before any long distance driving. Will give you a call to catch up on the dog show etc. Plan to be at the next one. Until
I would like to add that some of the brother and sister siblings of the Johnny dog Marty had. Did real well down ole Mexico way etc. Was some good dogs bred off that line. Hill's Johnny was a brother/sister breeding off Crenshaw's Jeep and J. Johnson's Rage bitch. I have put the Hill's Johnny dog's pedigree etc. into Jack's pedigree listings.
