complete game dog and the bible are two of the best to have !
Both are pretty good reads and both can serve as a reference guide. The medicinal section in the Bible is more up to date. The biggest reason (my opinion) to get the Bible is the money saving tips. That is where the real value is (for me). One or two of the tips will save enough money to whereas the rest of the book is free. (Sorry Jack, didn't mean to let the cat out of the bag).
An example of how the Bible paid off for me. There is an mechanic shop near here where the salvage yard is patrolled by rescued boxers and mastiffs. The owner's wife runs a rescue service there for these dogs. She provides excellent care. She bought veterinarian provided frontline for 8-10-12 dogs just about all in the 88lbs and above category. Flea and tick sprays by the cases. They roam a 25 acre salvage yard so the fleas and ticks are a constant. I turned her onto Termidor SC and Permethrin (sp?). For real, it was several hundred bucks a month saved for her rescue efforts.. I went back in a few months later for a front end alignment and it was on the house. So the Bible actually got me a front end alignment for free (again, sorry Jack, there are no royalties affiliated as the word spreads).
Between the two, and I have both, and enjoyed having both, I would prefer the Bible. EWO

Again, thanks for the props guys.
LMAO @ what EWO said ... yep, the Saving Money tips alone pay for the book ten-fold.
The first "book" I ever wrote was a pamphlet, "How to Beat Parvo."
The second "book" I ever wrote was, "Saving Money: Dog Owners."
Both of these are updated and in The Bible (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/index1.html) + about 200 more pages of vital material, including a keep that has produced a boatload of Champions and Grand Champions at the highest level, not to mention the diet and feeding options that aren't available in anyone else's book.
I have had many non-buyers tell me that my book is "too expensive" ... but NO ONE who has ever bought my book has EVER told me that it was  ;)
So I just laugh at the people who tell me, "It's too much," because the cost of not having (or knowing) the material in my book is, by far, the greater expense all around. I can't begin to count the number of VETERAN dogmen who have told me, "If only I had that information 10 years ago ..."
It is my absolute, 100% firm conviction that anyone who has a yard over 10 dogs is basically throwing their money away (and their dogs) by NOT having the material in my book. I stopped copying down the enormous feedback that I have got from the book years ago, but I still recorded several hundred testimonials (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/testimonials.html) for the first few years it was out. That number would be in the several thousands by now ...
Finally, not only is there no other book that has all the info mine does, including Faron's, but no other book actually has been updated 7 times to keep current of drugs, their use, and their ever-changing accepted dosages. Since I first wrote my book, more than 7 drugs have seen dramatic increases in the amounts that are needed to be given in order to still be effective

Yes that will happen, but not only will the circle get small, most of those cats will still be at a stand still.. the information is out there, we just have to be willing to spend a little money on it..knowledge is not power unless we put the info to use..
I wasn't raised into bulldogs I just had a passion for the breed and pursued it..I started with scattered bred dog's from my local Area, then as I started learning about different breeders, bloodlines and How to rasie one properly. my circle started to change also.
Hands on will teach us tons, but the magazine and books will fill in so many gaps. Its a lot of stuff out there that can help us being advertised in these forms everyday. Myself if I know a product is worth buying and has help me, I quickly give my stamp of approval. I just always remember when I received certain things and how much it help me and just pass that info on to the next guy..

Smart man. I might have to get the kindle version myself. I already got the hardback awhile ago but nothing like taking it with you everywhere. Wish some of the other great books were on kindle.
