I was doing some reading and found a couple of useful articles on the shelf life of antibiotics and other medicines.

Thought I would post them --

What I was looking for was info on storing antibiotics. Is it better to store them in the fridge or in the freezer?

I would use the fridge personally. Here's another interesting link for people to read:

Once opened in the fridge. I open a new bottle and throw away the old one like every 6 months. Same for dex. They're cheap anyway.

I also use the fridge for antibiotic capsules.

For those of you to lazy to click on the link Frosty provided and actually read it, here is a sample... "What they found from the study is 90% of more than 100 drugs, both prescription and over-the-counter, were perfectly good to use even 15 years after the expiration date."

Nut, you are throwing away your money, send your 6 month old antibiotics and dex to a dogman with less money that can use them. :D

Don't do that for the tetracyclines though ... throw those out.

I know S_B, i can be a freak. I do the same with supplements. Or i give em away. Nothing wrong with them. Plane 100 ml amoxicilinne cost me 20 euro, and gets used allot. Baytrill was like 80, i keep that one in the fridge :D
