Anybody know if this dog is still producing? Or know of any proven studs off him?

I don't see why he wouldn't be producing barring death. He's not that old of a dog if memory serves me correctly.

I've heard "STORIES" that he's no longer sterile and they've bred off a son of his or sold semen off his son claiming it to be his. It seems to me every time a dog makes a name for himself it isn't long until the stories start to follow. I tried to buy semen from KC and he asked for references, I sent some well known guys that could vouch for us and he never got back to me, I done some research around that time and that's when I heard all the tales from different guys.
Wasn't vengeance like 8 when he won so he would be like 10 now I thought. He might be sterile at that age.

If he is sterile at 10 there maybe some genetic problems that you don't want to put into your program anyway. JMO

Have to disagree.
I would rather have absolutely badass dogs, that can only keep their ability to produce these traits for 10 years, than to have mediocre dogs that can keep the ability to produce mediocrity for 12.

Yeah I agree but if I call you and and you have a badass dog that threw badass dogs at 8 but you still have his sire who is 12 and can still produce, I'm going with his sire. Did that make any sense? Sounded better in my head.

When was the last time he threw a litter? I had a conversation with 3 different reproduction vets. All say that with older males you have to clean them out. So say you know your bitch is gonna be ready on the 15th. Clean the male out on the 5th and 10th. This will remove the dead sperm and allow him to make new sperm. So you can stick her on the 15th and the 17th and start praying

Thanks for the info guys. I heard some of the same rumors. Haven't been able to get in contact with him to see if any of this is possible.
