Looking for some advice, I have a dog in a keep and the outter shell of the nail on his front leg has fallen off. He hasn't gone laim on it yet but it is very raw looking, just looking for some advice or tips on how to treat it.

Yes I've been bathing it in surgical spirits a couple times a day, obviously with him being in a keep I don't want to use any antibiotics or antienflamitries on him. But I was wondering if anyone here had any other advice they could lend?? Would super glue work as a temporary outter shell till he starts to grow another one.
Can you post a picture? Maybe more people will responded.
If it doesn't bother the dog i wouldn't bother. I'd make a soda (sodium carbonate?) bath, and bath paw for a little bit after training and keep the dog in a crate. Wonder if nail will grow back if you use super glue. If not, you could always pull the whole nail after the show.
