Jack , I read on a Coondog message board that a particular big name breeder with YERS of breeding behind him was sharing I little secret tip on how he's been shaving years off his breeding / evaluation of big game hunting offspring and far less ware and tear on his brood bitches , was to collect from TWO STUD Dogs at the same time using one syringe !?! His practice is that of breeding Majestic Hounds ( Bloodhound x Coonhound ) So the dam is a Bloodhound , and the sires would be say , a Blue Tick and a Red Bone so he'd know what cross belonged to what sire. Now he was absolutely serious in his writing this , I'm just trying to take this in.... Is this even possible ? Even so ,I don't think it would be practical with the bulldogs , as there are far less identification marks as apposed to the uniform markings on Coondogs . What's your thoughts ? Sure, it's possible.

With bulldogs, you would need a DNA test to tell "who's who" (unless one is a pure red/rednose and one is a pure black/blacknose dominant), but it could be done.

Keep in mind, though, semen is antagonistic to other semen, so filling a bitch with two loads can cancel each other out at times ...

Jack thanks .....this guy mixed the two collections into one syringe ..... I'm assuming he filled her once with the mixed load ...Have you tried this , or know others that have ?

Correct.

Case in point: I once bred Screamer (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=221) to two different studs at the same time: Gr Ch Sparky (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=2665) and Ch Stormbringer (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=211).

I knew that the ONLY color dog Sparky could throw was black/black nose, because he was a pure, black/black dominant dog. Every pup in every litter he ever threw was black.

By contrast, Stormbringer was a recessive red/rednose and so the ONLY colors I could get from him and Screamer would either be red/rednoses (if Screamer passed her recessive rednose genes) or buckskin (if she passed her dominant buckskin/black nose genes).

Because of the antagonism of the semen, there was only ONE pup, Vise-Grip's Pantera (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/bulldog_profile.php?dog_id=10879), and because she came out black/black nose there was NO DOUBT that she was sired by Gr Ch Sparky.

This has been done in the Beagles for years.....The AKC will also register the pups off of both sires as well....With a DNA test of course.....
