Hi
Want to share my experiences of Phenamidine. One of my dogs got all the symptoms that a Babesia infected dog gets. 7 weeks after contact with another dog.
1. Do not eat or drink
2. Tired
3. Pale / yellow in the mouth, eyes, and vagina.
4. orange /redyellow stools but the colour of her urine was shine and clear never ones to be darkred or goldy
5. usual 5 minute walk was a struggle for her.
She was dying i could see it in her eyes..
Started with giving her penicillin (shotapen) for a week. 2ml injection every second day
As in northern Europe, it is hard and get hold of medicine, a friend of mine had bought Phenamidie from a online store. think the store is in South Africa.
0.3 ml / kg, so she had to 4.5ml. Five minutes after she started throwing up, could barely walk. Let her rest for 25 hours, slowly began to try to give her food but without result. She rested without food for another 24 hours, then I started to see small improvements around day 3 after phenamidine. Now we are in day 5 after the firs shot of phenamidine.
She has started eating drinking and is slowly being herself again.
Continues with penicillin two weeks more.
Sorry for my bad written English ....
