Hi

Want to share my experiences of Phenamidine. One of my dogs got all the symptoms that a Babesia infected dog gets. 7 weeks after contact with another dog.

1. Do not eat or drink
2. Tired
3. Pale / yellow in the mouth, eyes, and vagina.
4. orange /redyellow stools but the colour of her urine was shine and clear never ones to be darkred or goldy
5. usual 5 minute walk was a struggle for her.

She was dying i could see it in her eyes..

Started with giving her penicillin (shotapen) for a week. 2ml injection every second day
As in northern Europe, it is hard and get hold of medicine, a friend of mine had bought Phenamidie from a online store. think the store is in South Africa.
0.3 ml / kg, so she had to 4.5ml. Five minutes after she started throwing up, could barely walk. Let her rest for 25 hours, slowly began to try to give her food but without result. She rested without food for another 24 hours, then I started to see small improvements around day 3 after phenamidine. Now we are in day 5 after the firs shot of phenamidine.

She has started eating drinking and is slowly being herself again.

Continues with penicillin two weeks more.

Sorry for my bad written English ....

Good for you that's she feeling better. Never heard of someone using Phenamidine to threat babesia before but it seems like a legit medicine for it.
"Because the drug causes frequent allergic reactions, it is usually combined with an antihistamine"

I recommend to read Jack's full article about treating babesia on this site.

If you are smart you don't hesitate to wait a day to order berenil and doxycycline from this site. So next time you're prepared.

Hi.

Hope things are still improving.

In my article (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum/content.php?157), Phenamidine is one of the drugs recommended, as it is in the same class as Berenil and Minazine.

I've never known anyone who used it either, Just Berenil, Imizol, and Minazene, so let us know the ultimate result.

Good luck,

Jack

Hi.

Yes Jack i have read your article and love it your are doing a great job as always on the dogs.
About buying diffrent drugs. in my country its not so easy you see wa have strange laws about any drugs human and none human..even if it ordered online in south africa, its a risk we have to take.

Today Day 6 she started to eat dry food, and belive me she is going strong. I will call it miracle drug from now. the colour in her mouth is coming back. and her stool looks alright now brown/grey.

i will update more.
