Anyone ever used turpentine as a treatment of heart worms?

This is one of the posts that my son made in response to a joke I played on him. It was considered 'spamming the board' and I was banned.

The basis for his post is that sitting around the rabbit pen a number of years ago there was this old guy that said his best Beagle was diagnosed by a vet to be heartworm positive. He said he brought him home and for three days gave him a tablespoon of turpentine each day. Six weeks later the dog tested negative for heartworms.

On the ride home my son who was maybe 10 at the time asked about turpentine. I said I thought the old guy was full of shit and I would not put a lot of stock in turpentine. My son in turn, who can't remember to put a bag in the trash can after emptying it, for some reason remembered that when he made several posts.

It may need o be deleted.

I understand that once a month heart worm prevention, is also the cure for heart worms. it is a slower process, but safer. If your dog has heart worms, take 28 seconds and check out the old country vet, on YouTube ,keyword is heart worms. My best
