I have a 16 month old female on her 3 cycle. Her first 2 cycles were small pools and spotting, but this cycle is a lot Heavier (going on 2nd day w/ heavy bleeding), yesterday there were Big Pools about 3 different times (looked like a murder scene )!...
Q1: Can this cause her Gums to go Pale!...?
•I understand that pale gums is a sign of blood loss that's why I'm wondering about her heavy flow....
Here's another possible Factor;
She is kept indoors..
She has not been in any kennel accidents, but she did get some cuts along her gum line (3rd day now) in about 4 spots from chewing on a Bison Horn!... When I checked and cleaned them the the blood would come back along the gum line but didn't over flow the gum line.. So I took her chew toys away and have been checking and cleaning them daly. Since I feed raw I have also been striping the meat away from the bones and removed them from her meal..
Q2: Do you believe that this could be a factor!...?
•If the blood along her gum line was heavier I could see it adding to her cycle flow if she was swallowing a lot of blood, but it don't seem like their bleeding that bad....?
Also her temperature is low around 98°
Not sure if I can do somethinglike add some Redcell to her feed or take her straight to the vet!...?? want to hear what you guys think!..
Thanks in advance!...
