Ive a bitch here thats had a phantom pregnancy,her teats filled with milk,which has now gone and she tightened up slightly,ive noticed some bull bitches never seem to tighten up fully again,she has had one previous litter and all when back nice and tight,any advice on trying to tighten her back up again gents? Thanks.
I've never had this problem and I really don't know why others do?
I feed my bitch good, keep her healthy before during and after pregnancy and when I wean the pups I do it gradually. Even bred an almost 10 year old bitch who completely dried up, no saggy titties. You can't even tell the bitches have been bred, only difference is slightly larger nipples.
So while I didn't offer you any advice, by my own experience of just giving good care I've never had this issue.

jacks advice here for weaning pups is excellent, have used his technique a couple of times with great results and as a bonus the bitch gets her shape back very quickly, so i think this problem occurs when bitches are allowed to feed pups to long. only suggestion i could make would be to start working her, a bitch in the wild would have to start hunting to feed pups, maybe its the perfect time for some graft.
I have to disagree that weaning later has any effect on the bitches teats. I've weaned at various times, as late as 8-9 weeks every bitch I've raised and bred never had sagging teats ever.

Lads this bitch has had a phantom pregnancy so there were NO puppies to wean or raise,i was going to whelp the litter for a friend but she had no pups,i offered to get the bitch in good order before he picks her up. All my dogs are fed a BARK died with all human grade food so its not down to shit kibble feed. She is hand walked everyday also.

You'll have to let her hormones balance back out. When that happens cut feed and water to help dry them up.

s_b Ive noticed the same , put them on a diet and that hormone balances out , bring them close to weight
also what I do since |I know most bitches on my yard will never be bred I toggle with the two options a) give them the shot so they never come in heat or b) use the greyhound way which is 0.5 laura per month

This bitch and her sister's tits never went back up.. It was always something that I wondered bc they received the best care a dog could get.. For some reason their tits never went back up so after some time I chalked it up to genetics
