we all know that in varying degrees heat and its hormones have influence on bitches
friend of mine who races greyhounds and whippets told me they use 0.5 ml laurabolin every month
I asked how much mg it was but have not got an answer
any suggestions to suppress the effects of heat in bitches ?

Perhaps, it's best to let nature take its course, by solving one problem with synthetic hormones, it may create, more problems that you will have to deal with. My best.

I understand what your saying , but I am heavy into weightpulling , tug of war and dragracing competition and it just leaves a small window to compete
It's certain crosses I made where it pops up

I don't have any idea on heat suppression. I always tried to look at my bitches when they were in heat so I would have an idea of how they were during that time. That way, I would know how to handle a situation if they came into heat for a keep or during a competition. If they had zero problems, I just kept on moving forward. If they had problems, I would always try and hook them right at the end of their heat cycle. I also kept written notes on when they came in so I could keep track of how often they come into heat.

when I started with this line I noticed if affected them big time , only litter that didnt have it were the canam dogs
they act weird up till 3 months after . I was talking to a greyhound guy and he was telling me they have a 100 day rule where they actually dont even run their dogs ( appearantly in that period they run up to 3 seconds slower)
he used laurabolin to surpress the effects , but these greyhounds are big dogs so I was looking for additional information or alternative solutions besides delvosteron of which I have bad experiences with

Maybe try keeping her on a dog free yard or moving her if you have another female come in while she is in keep.

I know people used something called Cheque Drops at one time or another some years ago to suppress a heat cycle. I don't know if they still make, or even use it, any longer. That may be something you could check into also.
Yes, Cheque Drops have been used. I wish I could get my hands on some. I think they were taken off the market but can be compounded. It works by basically "freezing" the reproductive system. It was explained in an article I read that they preserved the uterus. For instance if you kept a 2yo bitch on the drops until she was 6yo she'd basically retain a 2yo uterus.
It sounds a bit farfetched but a reproductive veterinarian was the source of the article. He explained that continously allowing a bitch to cycle without breeding allows progesterone to fire like a machine gun at the uterus when in estrus. No fertilization happens and the uterus takes this abuse each time the bitch cycles.
This would be FKN GREAT to use on active showing bitches!
