My condolences to his family. Had just said in a earlier post I hoped to see Frank and Carl at the Garner pig picking. When ever I went up to visit with Spruill. I tried to visit Frank and Grady Cummings. Back then we would start out early in the A.M. and visit around and talk dogs.

Frank was a top competitor, no telling how many dog shows he participated in or was in a combine group with. Frank liked the Cotton's Bullet and Red Boy bloodlines. Frank is known for his Assassin bloodline of dogs. Some of the last known family of dogs bred down off the Cotton's Bullet dog.

Many years back when I first got into the dogs. Frank had some good Loposay and John Shivar's dogs. Frank was not afraid to try other bloodline crosses. One was when he bought the Hampton's Boze dog from Howell and company. Frank competed in the sport right up to the end. Like Mr. Truett he was the real deal and a trooper to the end.

I spent some very memorable times with Frank and company. He made me and Jackson always feel welcomed. I can see him now like it was yesterday with a cherry blend cigar in his mouth and a good game pit dog between his legs. Frank always had a cheerful positive attitude, was a pleasure to be around. All my known past friends are fast passing on. With them goes a lot of the true known history of the dogs in the N.C. and S.C. areas. Frank rest in peace, your friend Johnny Young.

Great family of the Red Boy dogs. He crossed and blended them as well as anyone. Only met him once and on that night we were on the opposite sides of the box. He was good to the game and good for the game. Another chunk of history passed on. Thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of Mr. Jacobs.

RIP
