For example, many people said that RBJBT is a battle cross. But say in the case of Evo where most of his dogs are RBJBT and he built a line off of them.

1. Does it then becomes it's own "bloodline" or is still a cross?
2. If let's say we add a little bit of Eli or Jeep into it (like an out, back in the pedigree) is it still RBJBT or now does it become a new cross (RBJBT x Eli x Jeep)?

Hope Jack or anyone can clarify this.

If you buy 2 dogs & cross these 2 differrent bred dogs together it is not your family.
It's is a starting point for your own family once you continue to breed based on that initial cross. It's from scratch.
It's the generations after that in which it's your family of dogs.
Once you already have an established family & cross it to another family , maybe 3 or more generations or so, that the cross is your family when breeding 2 differrent families for the 1st time.
Youre are just adding on not starting from scartch.

If you buy 2 dogs from same breeder & breed them that are pure his family than ,these are still his family, you are just maintaining it.
Once you cross & add someting origional breeder did have , it becomes your origional family.
