Hello Voiceless. Thank You for those pictures and pedigrees on the Henry dogs. I always liked the looks of these older families of our dogs. IMHO,today it seems we have more of a Bulldogge type of dog than the older Pit (Bull Terrier) type dogs. Seldom see many pit dogs with the old bull terrier type head/body and that keen rat tail.
IMHO what I see a lot of today is what the old timers called catch weight dogs. Dogs that matched in the upper forties and above. There are a lot of great big dogs out there, Tant's Yellow and Gainey's JR were two that come to mind. When I added the Bully Son stock into my last dogs. They jumped up in size to big dogs and more Bulldogge looking.
IMHO,does seem the bigger our dogs get, more Bulldogge they look and the smaller more bull terrier they look. If you ever see two top notch low thirty pound bull terrier type APBT dogs rumble. Is a complete different dog show. LOL Cheers
