Honestly, that's the only reason I've never joined there. Their peds don't give me a headache like they do here so I prefer looking at those peds though.

I like this site. It has a nicer crowd, which can be a bit boring though... I agree with brokeback on the peds. I think a different format here would help. Too many moving parts. Simple works.

I personally enjoy the pedigree format on this site to that of feds online . The feds online site allowed me to cancel cable tv though , it's much more entertaining than watching the boob tube !!!

The very thin writing that is on these peds, along with the BRIGHT NEON green gives me a headache in no time. I can look at their peds all day and no problem. Thick writing and no neon. Having said all of that I like the fact that every animal here has 1 pedigree. Over there you can put peds of made up anything over there. If these peds were easier to read I wouldn't have to have friends with accounts there to make peds for me, I'd just do it all here. But to the point of the OP's post. As soon as you pay here you are in the door. No taking that away from this place. It wins in that respect with no question.

IMO, this site has the best pedigree format, by far, over peds-online. It is more accurate, there aren't multiple peds for the same dog, there are photos of the dog and their ancestors, and you can view 4 generation to 15 generation. I don't like that there isn't a print option, but other than that, way better IMO.

Just I have control with pedigrees online.
I can add, delete print, and more.

I think the bible has a chance to grow but things would need to change to make it next level great. A delete button is a start.

I have never been a Ca. Jack fan but I think this was suppose to be a pedigree database and I think the mission was accomplished. I will give him props for that.

He kicked me off and Brickface made things right, even though, he had no obligation to do so. Again, props for that as well.

On the other hand the board itself, as a forum, has became boring to say the least. Maybe the board needed a character who is opinionated, mostly an ass, who was smarter than every one else to keep the shit stirred and the members posting. I am not sure. The posts were plentiful but closely moderated and it was cleaned up quickly/closed threads quickly,

The biggest difference is that this is a database first and foremost. The database would never work if there is unlimited access to add/change/delete/duplicate pedigrees.

Sometimes the colors and fonts are not the ones I would choose but it is not my little get together. I get that too.

I paid for peds last year trying to track down a guy I once knew. When it runs out, it runs out. But I will admit that forum is a lot more interesting.

They have public threats with people going to each other's houses, their mothers are fat and nasty, the members are queers and fags and complete unthinkable homosexual acts, they hate Trump, and the government, many ore moving to the Dominican Republic, all of them have dogs that pushed 6 pounds up hill and stopped a 2XW in a roll but never brought that dog out for real, and most important of all, they know how all the dogs are 'really bred'.

For me it is apples and oranges. This was designed to be a pedigree database with a forum on the side. The forum is boring but the database is indeed a database.

The other site is like 'dogs on reality TV'. For the most part anyway.

On the other site, people can/do make up peds and enter in crap on my dogs that never even happened. At least here, I have control over my dogs and what their peds say. I don't really understand why people feel the need to make up shit about other people's dogs, other than to just to make them feel better or make their dogs appear to others as better.

Can you delete your dogs pedigrees at ADBA? It the same concept here. This is an online pedigree database. It's why CJ was so strict about entering peds.

In regards to the forum. I've looked into upgrading it. Unfortunately the forum and database are tied together. Therefore I cannot upgrade one without loosing the other because of customizations here. It really bothers me because I already bought the software but I cannot use it. However I thought of a workaround last week, and confirmed it will work with the software developer. I can just create a new forum and keep the pedigree database here. So instead of one database with everything in it, there will now be two...ding ding ding. When I'm on winter break I'll have time. i hope to roll it out early 2020!

True that this isn't a registry, but it is better than a registry in many ways. If I want to research most any dogs ancestry, I can do that on this site. I cannot do that with the ADBA. I'm not here to try to bring the ADBA down. I have all of my dogs registered with them and some are doubled registered with SDR, but I don't know how many cross bred mutts I saw over the years that were entered into weight pulling events at the ADBA sanctioned shows. They were registered as APBT'S. They made up their peds and registered them. People do it all the time with the ADBA and have for generations.

I've entered in lots of peds on this site. Most were for my own dogs, but a lot of them were dogs that were in my dogs peds, but not in the database. Are all of those peds mine? What happens if I started deleting those dogs peds that were historical? Maybe someone else started using them after I created them, filling in their dogs peds. The ability to delete those peds would affect the data base and the community. It wouldn't work if people could do that.

Nobody said anything about you breaking rules...but anyone who comes here with the expectation that this is peds will be disappointed because this is not that and vice-versa...you pay to subscribe to this database. Your dogs are yours. But the pedigrees you enter here belong to the community. Don't believe me read the disclaimer at the bottom of this site :idea::idea:

I've posted things on social media that I later realized some prick could twist my words and use against me so I deleted my comments. But on the flip side of the argument, I understand why the pedigree delete option isn't available on this site. It screws up any data that someone enters off of your original pedigree in the event that you decide to delete it later on. Best thing for anybody to do in my opinion is add pedigrees without any titles if you don't want anything out of the ordinary to stand out and move on. We live in different times and with today's laws anything can be used against you. Treat anything you post like the whole world is watching ( because they are) and things MIGHT be fine.

The pedigree data base and this site is the best out there hands down.
Just like anything u just have to get use to it..
Everybody bicker bout not being able to delete peds but on peds online if another account holder delete peds he made that u used, part of your ped will be unknown and u will have to re add it..
And the non sense over there is UNREAL..

I definitely enjoy this site! I’ve used peds and game-dog in the past. Peds just too much drama and non-sense, game-dog locked myself out and was unable to get back in or get in touch with moderators for access. Couple good guys referred me here and it’s been a good experience. Tons of great information here!
