just got a couple pups from a 2pup stud breeding i did and the pups are bowlegged. i ask to see the others in the litter and they seem to be also. all the pups are fat and seem to be worm free and otherwise very healthy. they have all been raised in an outdoor whelping box and fed blackgold puppy feed. any info on treatment or advice would be appreciated thanks

the only thing you can do now is but them on the raw feed plenty of bone , and rear them on uneven ground with plenty of different size gravel and stone, might help , are could be genetic seen alot of bulldogs with this problem

Plenty of sunlight is required to correct (and prevent) rickets, as sunlight is essential for the body in synthesizing Vitamin D/calcium. Offering a raw diet with plenty of calcium in it, such as chicken thighs, eggs (with the shell), etc. works toward this end. Basically, the diet outlined in my book (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/)/DVD (http://www.thepitbullbible.com/DVDs/raw.html) will prevent/correct the formation of rickets.

Just so you know, Black Gold is a garbage feed, and any pups that are over-fed on food like that can grow too rapidly, and not in a good way. Many people over-feed poor nutrition to their pups, which only makes their pups fat and (in some cases) malformed.

It is better to have lean, healthy raw-fed pups than fat, malformed garbage-kibble-fed pups ...

Cod liver oil has helped with us in the past.
