Anybody know what happened to the site? It's been down for quite awhile.
I did not know their was a site just for the Colby dogs. When V.J. moved back to Texas. Not for from him was a great grandson of the Colby family. This person had some of the straight Colby stock.
I saw some of that person's dogs from pictures V.J. had. They looked like the Colby dogs of old. I did not know this till some years later. V.J. should have bred the best brood bitch of our older original stock (MayfieldxCoplin) to one of that fellows Colby stud dogs. I felt that was what was needed and not more Heinzl or Dibo strains.
For some strange reason Heinzl blood was hard to cross to the newer bloodlines. It too IMHO needed some Colby blood and not so much of the Dibo strains of dogs. Which it already had enough. Cheers

What does the Colby add. I know the history of them. It’s wonder of linebreeding a strain that long. It’s the base of many of our modern lines. Jeep, red boys. Is it mostly gameness or structure brains?

He's one of those people that the absence of would change the makeup of most bulldogs. Its crazy I went and looked up the percentage of colby blood in jeep and in redboy. Theres a lot over 50 percent maybe 75.
