Hello Comrades in Dawgs
I'm sure you have all deduced by now that I'm no spring chicken(58, almost 45 years with bulldogs, (13 yrs old I found my friend, first. Mentor second) and have always admired the dog, the breed really, the game and the things Giroux tried (didn't succeed, wasn't smart enough lol) to instil in me on how to be a good dogman with many and different facets.
Unfortunately the game environment had come a long way from when I had started. We had men of honour, words were said, contacts were not signed. Unless you really did not know who your opponent was, and again it was rare. No one washed the others dog, trust was something of a given. You had ppl that were business men, professionals, educated school teachers, academics were something of a norm. Ppl from upper league establishments and, Yes, yes, even people that worked for Joe Law, from prison Guards to Captains, beat cops that had dogs and you did not worry if they lost to you, they would call the cops on you.
Now you have people..... Regardless of how you live, what you do for a living but it seems a lot of these so called "wheeler dealer, big money party giver" somehow got their wires crossed and when that phase of their lives was caught up to, so was a good portion of the dogmen that knew them because of the dogs, only. now these men had their own problems.
Then you have the ones that like your dog but, just too much, so tomorrow he is not in your yard any longer but in a yard that is full of tall green plants and you have no clue where Buddy is.
Lastly, we have the advanced dog men generation that don't just want your dog but the money that dog brought you a few nights ago on account of his greatness. Chances are good to guaranteed that those traits of greatness were shown, seen against the men that came for your dog and now knowing what your dog can do, will make it their own. Only difference is they are willing to put your life out of commission, for good to get a dog.
I don't want to go into Knl names and the sad story but if you are somewhat familiar in the game a while back then you know who these people are. The taker of the dog and the giver of his life.
Ironic,, the dog saw that night that his owner was just as dedicated to him and died trying to help make things better for him as good dog always tried for him.
Anyhow, I didn't start off writing this post with this in mind but I just got off the phone with a friend after asking how do we read/see the peds on this site if we want to look up the dogs and their breeding behind them and he said 2 things, why and is it worth it nowadays ?
I asked about this earlier as I thought I read somewhere I need to pay again, to have that access ?
If this is correct it's a sad day. After you guys are paying to be a member here, no matter if you all claim peds online is full shyt at least if you just want to do some research on some breedings, you can.... And log off.
Stay away from the he said, she said, it's a Cur, I saw it, no he was Rubbed, etc...
Not to mention the majority of the peds here and all other so called online registry are from the original PEDS ONLINE data.
So if someone can give me a straight answer on how I can go about to read some peds I'd be truly grateful.
Regards,
North Strong
P.C. Illiterate... 😆 it will take some time but I think I will be able to do it.
Not like the great James CShaw buckling at the knees when he was at Andres place to see 4 dogs getting ready to roll around. Yet 2 holes were being dug up as this is where 2 where going to be going, guaranteed.
One way or another 2 will be better than 2 others, those 2 other less talented ones will be planted in garden show sitting pretty and strong in that area.
Mr. CShaw just couldn't understand it.... Better yet, one of his dog, Bubby was wishing to play and roll around as he was for sale to a foreigner ( to us) and wanted to see it go with one of Andre's dog.
We figured those 2 had nothing to do with us, so there was no extra gardening needed as we only plant our Andre said, if rolling in the dirt was not his forte, we can discuss what other talents he may have. Only time will tell and we had no clue how much time.. 😆
They went first, 5 mins ... And what 5 mins,
2 mins of holding each other doing the tango, 2 more mins trying to release their partner to try a new step, not sure if it was going to do the "Country style" dance step of "take your partner by the hand, poke him in the eye and he'll poke you back..." Or the latest craze started by that great Country fellow, Gr. Ch.Hank something.
They said his accronym stood for Great Country Hits by Hank. So we had thought maybe if they didn't do the .."poke and he'll poke back" but that smash hit that been seen all over town lately, "Jump, Jump. Jump the Box he's as strong as a phukken Ox" and at 5 mins EXACTLY his loving Agent picked him up and declared him as game as any other singer and if you want to see him sing again, you will need to buy him and enjoy him with other friends...."
This lady and gentlemen is what eventually happened to the USA SPORT IN THE LATE 80S & 90S.
Sure you had a hell of a collection of greats but far and Inbetween of the last music revolution of the 50s and 60s. Rock and Roll ....
Sorry for my ramblings...
