i got a 8 week pup that i believe is in need of an antibiotic. He had his eye scratched fairly deep. wanted to know what you would recommend. (do you still dose a pup at 5mg/lb. like an adult?)

it looks better today than yesterday kept it clean, rinsed with a solution.(it is getting better) It was a little puss filled, caught it the day it happened was just worried it may have gotten infected.

Yes, drugs like clavamox, cephalexin, amoxicillin, etc. are okay for pups, and yes again at the same dosage.
I would take him to the vet though, as they have have special neomycin/gentamicin eye drops/cremes, with minor anti-inflammatories, that not only will heal the eye, and protect the eye, but will stop it from burning, which will make the pup forget about it.
