Anyone ever have, seen, or heard of a bitch go through pregnancy and come whelping time. No pups. Labor and delivery and out comes sac but no pups inside the sacs. Is it possible bitch absorbed pups.

False pregnancy
empty sacks???? I have never ever seen this. I have seen and had my fair amount of false preg. but never to that extent.

Went to the vet just to make sure nothing was wrong and the vet said probably a false pregnancy Other thing she said was on rare occasions some bitches would go into labor with a false pregnancy but she hasn't heard of empty placentas. She also said when we did the ultrasound she was sure there were nugget size puppies in her. She asked if I wanted a referral to the specialist at the university.
I've had one or two empty sacs, but never a whole litter of sacs, lol :lol:
