How could you not agree? Then what would you say CHINAMAN was bred like? He was an ELI/SNOOTY dog; one of the best! This dog is line-bred on CHINAMAN, so I'm interested to hear what you would call this pup; how would you say he's bred; from (what line/family of dogs)? No disrespect intended, and definitely not trying to bicker with you or anyone else; I just don't have the time to, got too many hounds to feed & care for to do that. Just trying to figure out your rationale. To any event, take care & be safe.Quote:

I will do a WIC check and see :)
Eli/carver/bolio is wat it looks like to me....all tg dogs are not Eli dogs either
Okay, officially that there pup is 23.44% Frisco, 22.27% Chinaman, and 7.6% Eli Jr.
However, I only went back 10 generations, so that Eli% would probably go up quite a bit higher on a 15-30% search.
The program I used to have that would go back further doesn't work with a Window's 7 64-bit operating system :(
Jack
WIC check what is call me a newbie but Wat is that and who started that?Quote:

A WIC is a Wright's Inbreeding Coefficient, which is a calculation done on the % of inbreeding behind your pup. This is done with a pedigree program, which is also where I came up with the % of each dog in your pup's ped.
Just wondering what would that mix be considered and the mix with my male and Miss Fury would be check his offspring and you would see the plans I have in store for him......that's in advance.....so the pedigree online percentage is not accurate? And how can I see those facts you are talking about "Jack"? Just want to know.....................
And which dog was you reforing too with those stats........?the male or female
I was referring to the pup whose photo you posted.Quote:

You would have to buy your own pedigree program (or wait until our Pedigree database is operational) to conduct an extended generation pedigree search.
Jack
its quiet simple
look at the 4th gen of frisco, you can find 4,5 eli type dogs out of 16 . that would make frisco 28 % "eli"
if you look at the dogs he was bred to get to this one, you can see that black velvet, yoko, china girl and miss sassy all have a lower percentage "eli" blood then frisco so that'll bring it down to 15-20. that's if frisco's ped is correct
yes im bored.
but having a certain percentage of blood on paper still doesnt mean so much
a dog can have 75 % of of xx blood and still be a throwback to something else
well hope his oil is fresh, good luck
Thanx a lot guys....I thought you was refering to the male Cobb's Jess-C....when you get a chance would you check him out and let me know what you come up with him???? Thanx ahead...
Ok kool I think I see where you coming from......ThanxQuote:

Your dog has a huge 46.7% WIC, and he is genetically 78% Frisco, 68% Chinaman, and 18.4% Eli Jr.
Jack
PS: If you want more answers like this, you'll have to get your own program--or wait till we're done with the database here :)
Thanx a lot Jack...... I'll just have to wait on the site to do others...but I'm loving the site!!!!!!! Is anything in your book about doing the WIC on a dogs genetics? I've been hearing a lot about it. Is it like a story telling of past events and new and old dogs, or is a teaching guide on the pitbulls with tips on breeds, breeding, training, choosing, etc.....?
