Chavis' Ch Ellison Blood!!! They are working. It's around but hard to get...and you wont find it pure.
Yea i kno its like tryn to find a needle in a haystack. I have the Tant's poncho blood just looking for more of the Chavis Yellow John blood to add in for the future.
Mine is only approximately 38% Chavis Influence but that's good enough for me!!!
would love some chavis blood bred like that:

I would think and from what I have seen is that the best Chavis blood is owned by a guy that post on this board....
Yes, Waccamaw's foundation bitch came directly from Chavis, and they have done nothing but interbreed their entire bloodline based on the winning dogs they've got out of her.
Jack
I will look into owning some waccamaw stock, from what i have heard they are really" bred for performance". But at the time i am not stable, mabey will give him a call this summer and see what we can make happen
I disagree about the best...but possibly the highest percentage. No disrespect to whoever you are talkin bout but that's just my opinion.Quote:

Now this is a similar cross that I actually have planned with the bitch that I have...Quote:

I think when people say the best they are talking about what they have seen and what has the higest % or ROM and POR dogs. So when you look at it like that I would have to say it is the best. I'm not knocking anything that you guys are running at all but this guys dogs have made it happen. Oh and I have no vested intrest in his animals at all. I don't own one, never bred to one. I do have to trust the old heads and close friends whom I deal with everyday that will say this is the place to get it.Quote:

You are absolutely correct. I understand that everyone has a best. I've heard good things about his best and hopefully I'll get the opportunity to see one.Quote:

i got to dig them out, i boxed alot of peds and pics up a few years ago,but i will see what i can do .
The Voyles' Little John dog and both of his parents came directly from Fletcher back in the late 80s. I've been lucky enough to help the owner of Little John show a lot of the dogs that came directly from LJ himself. There are two sons and one daughter alive that are directly off Little John in the Peach State. I sent them to a friend of mine a few years ago so he could breed them to more of his RB/Jocko blood. I still have some of it kicking around here, in one form or another, for a
little while longer. The dogs from Little John were able to compete throughout the country, at any particular level, and win against anyone.
Did you take photos of any of them?
If so, maybe you could upload a few as well.
I remember VOYLES LITTLE JOHN ,we got SABRE and ACE from fletcher bred them together and got our CH LITTLE JOHN .And WE bred SABRE to GRCH YELLOW we all know he came from FLETCHER as well .we then kept line breeding from there .our dogs have JOCKO , ARGO ,REDBOY .ARGO AND JOCKO CAME FROM THE SAME LITTER
Do you have any of that stuff available? The Voyles stuff
I don't have any available as I don't sell dogs. There is still some floating around here and there, especially out in Oklahoma, but I couldn't swear to the quality of it any longer. I know the dogs I sent to GA were winners, littermates to winners, or produced winners. They seem to be carrying on that tradition.
we have maintained our blood pretty well.and have plenty of litters on the way .
i have a grandson of gr ch yellow man rom he is a wonderful dog i plan to cross carver eli and jeep rb blood and keep it nice and hunting right
Nice looking dogs.
Thanks
The chocolate lively stuff is very very good. I've seen some very good dogs off that stuff bred to Redboy stock.

MY COUSIN OWNS HIM NOW BUT I'M IN THE MIX OF MOVING TO GA SO WACCAMAW I WILL BE GIVING U A SHOUT AS SOON AS I GET SETTLED IN GA I JUST CAN'T LEAVE THAT RBJ ALONE.
The Ho/Brasken dogs I saw were just horrific in a horrible way. I liked Ho, but he wasn't a very good producer.
I'm glad to see there's at least one quality dog off Buford. I never liked any dogs out of that litter, and I've always wondered why Buford was passed around more than $2 dollar whore, but I've never been able to track down any legitimate answer.
I know this is an old post, but being new to the board thought I'd chime in on the ol' Voyles' Little John blood, as Frosty said they are solid. I to haven't seen any of the Stryker stuff I'd feed but I know there must have been some out there worth something to some folks. I've been happy with what I've been able to perpetuate with the blood over the last 13 years.
S_B, I went in and completed K. Chavis Ho dog pedigree. Will add the dogs bred off the Sofiakis' Mayfield Brasken line this week. Got another of Chavis bitches added. Was Chavis' GrandMaw. K. Chavis was Mr. Chavis Son. We called him Kirby and was the only person of the Chavis family that I knew of. Cheers
Some body correct me if I am wrong. Where you see the Chris name in the Chavis' dogs. I am thinking that was Chris Cooke. He use to visit with V. Jackson a bit and Jackson helped him with conditioning advise. Which Chris did all right with as I believe he worked his dog by V.J.'s advise when going into Carter's Blackie dog. Which went well over the 3 hour mark. Cheers
