    Duphalyte

"A clear yellow solution for injection consisting of a combination of B-complex vitamins, electrolytes, amino acids and dextrose for use as supportive maintenance therapy in conditions of fluid loss."

    http://www.noahcompendium.co.uk/Pfiz...on/-45225.html

    Bought me some today.

As some vitamins are sensitive to oxidising substances and/or pH changes, Duphalyte should not be mixed for administration with any other product. For this reason it is recommended not to mix Duphalyte with other medicinal products.
Has anyone used this before? Although it says do not mix, you should give up to 50 ml per 5 kg by intravenous injection. 200ml is a whole lot to inject with a syringe directly into the vein. Wonder if i could combine it with lactated ringer's? If not, would it harm to give both at the same time, but separately?

    Thanks

I've just learned this site is incorrect. It not by intravenous injection only, but also subcutaneous. Make things a whole lot easier. lol..
