Say you bred a litter and meant to split it at 6 weeks old how would you pick your pup's??
I go by size and colour may be way off the mark don't know but i pick the colour closest to the parent i like and the biggest pup's..

This is why i like small litters. If you can keep em all picking isn't an issue![]()
if you can keep whole litter yeah but if the sire not yours what can you do..
How do you see all that in a 6 week old pup jack??
Scary mate dont see how that is picking a pup hahaha..
How do you not?
Jack
PS: In a really solid litter full of uniformity, I generally make my decision by 9-12 weeks. Based on two decades of breeding results, I am almost invariably on the money in my impressions ... based on either what I see myself ... or based on the record and feedback I get as the pups mature into adults and get evaluated or compete.
thanks mate lot of reading though get to it later i got to clean the kennels
