    Looking for a little guidance

If you had to say any fast lane line today is heavily affected by the SARONA/HEMPHILL cross what would it be ? Maybe a general direction of where to look to locate something tight on SARONA BRANDY. Thank you for the help. Not looking to be spoon feed just a direct to look. Thanks again for the help

None, particularly none with the Sarona blood. I had this bitch; 50/50 Hemphill and Sarona/Clouse, who was a wonderful, desperately game bitch. I never got any pups from her.

If you go back further than the era you are talking about (1970's-80's), the OFRN strain influenced many, many strains of modern day dogs. Klaus' ZEKE for example was a dog who was roughly 50% OFRN.

I have written several articles and posts in the past on OFRN dogs. Jack and I made an effort to try and bring back a game strain of OFRN dogs some 8 years ago or so, but were found wanting after expending significant time and resources to do so.

Bottom Line- OFRN no longer exist in their pure form as they once were. They are as watered down as a line of blue dogs who are bred for color. Evolotion's dogs probably carry as much of the OFRN blood as any working strain today, and they definitely carry the phenotype and performance traits the original OFRN dogs were known for.

Don't say that to iron Mike, he'll have a conniption fit.
    ..lol
Aluminum Mike and I have already gone round and round about this many years ago. You can't reason with someone who has a know it all attitude coupled with mediocre intellect.

The last OFRN dogs I saw, that were of any real consequence, were dogs bred down from GrCh Lucky Strike in the early 90s. Morgan, in FL, has some OFRN dogs down there that he tries to get back to a certain level, but it's a slow road for him in doing so.

TFX and I spent a lot of time trying to revive this line, all to no avail.

I bought a stunning specimen from Morgan, Red Jewell, yet (as stunning as she was) I couldn't even get her to defend herself.

Sure, I could have waited longer, but when other specimens weren't doing anything either, I just realized they were so far from being at the level of my own dogs that there really was no point in continuing forward with them.

That said, I am sure there are some great dogs of this line (here and there) somewhere ... as my own Red Angel bitch was not only a game, talented dog (back in the early 90s), but she produced absolutely awesome dogs when bred to Poncho.

So I am sure there are a few specimens of this line that are still respectable, but I sure don't know who has them.
