If the bulldog community could come together and organize like the Cock fighters, we would be a force to be reckoned with!

The cock fighters believe they will start to legalize cock fighting within the next couple of years. I have already seen the cockers rebuilding their flocks where I live, this is interesting.

In case you haven't heard, you don't have to do anything to be convicted of animal cruelty, just owning these dogs has been enough to get convictions. Its a racket!!

Legalizing may not be the answer, but sending folks to jail and charging them with multiple felonies for combat sports with animals is ridiculous.

A lot of money is being channeled into convicting alleged dog fighters and breaking up families.

It's very possible the sport could be legalized but it'll be a damn tough battle. If cock fighting does become legal I don't see how the same will not happen with dogs.

I don't think it will become legal (dogs), but on the other hand I never thought I'd see to grown men locking it up on prime time tv. Or the legalization of marijuana, especially after all those commercials I watched as a kid with the frying pan and the egg! lol

If half the world had cockerels on the sofa beside them watching the Simpsons then you would see a different outcry against cock fighting. When joe soap thinks about canine combat he envisions fido being locked in the trunk of a car with two savage pitbulls. The typical media hysterics have created a stereotypical view that couldn't be further from the truth and has actually caused more harm and cruelty to animals over the years than any dog man could do in ten life times. Don't hold your breath for a change in the laws, I can't see it happening in this lifetime.
