    Ruby x Comanche

How was that breeding? Any good results?

Not completely sure but heard there was like 8 or 9 wins there. With one being a ch. The stuff down from them themselves produced well also.
Would be nice to know a little more on this though.

Ruby was actually only bred twice. The first time was to Cates' Rambo, brother to Cujo. This breeding produced Okabe's Gr Ch Jigilu (9xW), who was a living legend in Japan. His sister, Gator Boys' Lexus (2xW, 1xL), won 2 and then lost her Ch bid in like 2:40. I think she wound up stopping, but damn, 2:40 is no joke ... and neither is being a 2xW who goes that long for #3. Don't know what happened with the other littermates, since I didn't do the breeding (Mr. Nice Guy did). But he bred to Cates' Rambo, owned by Joe Tomayo, and Tomayo's pick stud puppy was Jigilu, whom J.T. sold to a Japanese fancier. The Japanese have much more structured events, almost like our professional boxing, and you have MANDATORY challengers ... you can't duck anyone ... and and so this Jigilu dog beat 3-4 Champions in his 9 fights ... and no dog went over :48 with him. So I would have to say, with 2 dogs amassing an 11-1 (2:40) record, that it was a pretty freakin good breeding.

The other breeding was to Desert Warrior's Ch Comanche, which produced OTC Kennels' Ch Tank (4xW). An interesting side-story is, when Ch Tank was a 3xW, Bull Skull Kennels and I were hanging out up in north FL, and when he found out there was a Champion off my stuff also in Florida, the same weight as Ch Roy Jones Jr. (4xW), he said, "Florida isn't big enough for 2 Champions the same weight," and was real cocky about wanting these two dogs to meet. Well, I immediately called OTC and he called Scooter & Company, and they were going to put these dogs together.

However, then we all started rolling dogs out together, and after Screamer blasted down one of Ch Roy's sisters, and Athena Red blasted down another ... handled by none other than BSK once ... and Scooter/Hoss the next time ... suddenly those boys couldn't come to terms on the weight with OTC

So OTC, went ahead and matched Ch Tank into another Champion (I forget who) and Ch Tank snuffed this Ch in :48 and won #4 ... while Ch Roy Jones Jr. went into another Champion (I forget who) and lost #5 ... so it's too bad they didn't meet ... because, after going through no telling how many Emmitt dogs, I just don't see how Roy would have beat Tank, who was a devastating throat dog ... and smart like my stuff usually is.

The other dogs in the litter were solid, but nothing spectacular like Tank. I think there was a male who won and died (I forget his name), and another bitch Thompson's Annie won DG in 1:07 ... and another bitch lost twice, both times in well over an hour, but she stood in shock the last time: Backstreet Truez' Roccio, POR, ROM. Even though she stood, Jackson didn't kill her, because she was pretty far fuggen gone ... but he didn't want to make the effort to save her either. So he just left her in the crate to see if she'd survive (nice guy, just leaves her there in a crate ... no meds, no fluids, just lets her suffer to die ... only thing was, SHE DIDN'T DIE) ... so he decided to save her, prince of a man that he is

Anyway, even though she was only a so-so match dog, Roccio was one helluva producer, producing 3-4 Champions, including BST's Ch Bo and One Man Army's Ch Spiderman.

EDIT: Excuse me, Ruby was bred a 3rd time, back to a brother of Ch Tank 4xW (ironically also named Roy Jones Jr.) to produce my Tuffy bitch.

John from beantown kennels said Spiderman was one of the gamest and hardest scratching dogs he's ever seen.
