Gyp has a funny heat cycle!!!!!

I've been raising this gyp for 3 years now. She only comes in once a year. According to my research I'm supposed to wait for a bloody discharge before I can begin to count the days until I breed. Today is the 8th day since she swelled and I haven't seen any dark bloody discharge but I have seen somewhat of a discharge it was really really light. Any suggestions????

If you are planning on breeding on her, bring the stud up to her and see if he will mount her. If the stud is experienced, he will know when she is ready.

Meauxtivation what I would do is try to breed the bitch by day 10/11 and see if the male tells you she is ready, he should know.

She may be a very clean bitch whose discharge is light.
