I am pretty sure that you know that a dog with her tail erect is confident and in control. The exact opposite is the dog with her tail tucked between her legs. Whether she's talking to you or to another dog, the message is the same: "I give up!" Just because a dog's tail is down doesn't mean she's frightened, though. A relaxed dog may keep her tail lowered, although not between her legs.
(A dog's tail between his or her legs can also just simbolize that she is SHY"

The only "sign" of a cur is slacking-off in their single-minded intensity to win ... or the actual quit itself.
A lot of people think "fuzzing up at the back of the tail" is a sign of a cur too, but I have had dogs do that while they're chasing a flirt-pole; they're just geeked-up

Correct me if I am wrong but a curled tail comes from genetics (just like "bat ears"). Also the bushy tail and the "longer haired" dogs come from genes. It has nothing to do with heart!
I had a dog that could not raise his tail because his rear end curved down. People said "he is not flagging he is going to quit". He never did it was a genetic flaw to his tail but not his heart.
Its pure BS.
