If you are talking about W. Truett. This is the correct spelling on his last name. Those last dogs of Truett were bred around the Prince/Black Beauty and some Melvin's JR /Red boy dogs.
One of his last extra nice looking males. Was recently stolen off his yard and rolled to death. The young crack head that did the stealing, for some other so called dog men in that area. First stole his sheep dog, later went back and stole the right dogs the Crack Dealer was wanting.
You would think a man of this age would be left alone to enjoy his dogs for a short while longer. If there was another dog man that goes by the name of Truitt. I do not know him. Cheers

The dog man that did some of the best breeding off the Britches dogs to Truett's Prince dog was R. Williams. William's was the breeder of the Truett's Sister bitch (2X) winner. He was good friends with Katie and knew her Red Boy dog yard real well. The Britches stud dog was one of his favorite Red Boy dogs. The two other Red Boy studs may have been the Chance and Mr. Bulldog studs.
There is some pictures of William's dogs off Prince/Britches dogs on the on line pedigree site. Williams took very good care of his dogs and did not breed them to just look at. Any of his dogs that could not get er done. Got done in. Was a good dog man and competitor. Chose to stay private and under the radar. Something many others should have done.
Williams' health is not good today, has Diabetes. I talked with him a few months back, went over some good times. Would be nice if he would share his experience in the dog game since he no longer has any dogs. Says he wishes to remain private and so can not give out his phone #.
Most of the Truett Prince breeding's he did over the Red Boy dogs came Black & White. Since Britches was also a dark colored dog with a black nose. Most of his dogs may have not been red/red nose dogs but then again I never saw all of his dogs. Cheers
