Ponchof xd ofrn
This is a question mainly for jack:
Now if I remember what I heard right, this cross was done twice by you, with fantastic results the first time, and virtually nothing the second time.
So my question is what if any do you feel was the differing factor? perhaps just the individuals of the breeding that didn't produce just didn't click? Were the ofrns you used bred differently, were they bred from the same type of stock? or were they bred by different people from different ancestors amongst the line? If so do you feel this was the determining factor?
(the title was suppose to say poncho x ofrn. Damn auto correct, how it screwed it up to what it is, is beyond me. Tried to edit but won't let me edit the title.)

Centipede. Clouse. Patrick. Maloney. Hollingsworth.
Just connecting my favorite thread on this topic. It's the thread on a sweater that if pulled unravels the myth of what is called current day the OFRN blood. William's, Hemphill, Clouse all dogs that are in the background and the basis of a lot Maloney, Hollingsworth Patrick & even Carver Blood and most any great bloodline of today. (Pull the thread on Hanson's Amber girl to Gr Ch William's Red)
Like Dibo is to The current gamedog, so is Centipede

Specifically Poncho
Bolio has a sizable portion of his ancestors that lead to the William's and which leads to then the Lightner blood that's behind a lot of what they call OFRN
And then once we hit the bottom side with Lady in red and see Miss Tuffy again the paralell is clear. http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum....php?dog_id=78
Just look at Patrick's Goldy
---
Our predecessors used the supposed OFRN blood just as much if not more than the so called OFRN families today.

I can not answer in regards to Jack's successful breedings, but the common ancestors coming off working blood always make for a good recipe.

P.S. Pull the thread on the supposed pure OFRN and you will find Trahan's Rascal and Corvino's stock and Colby's Pincher are just as much the base to their line as any other.!! With their, of course undeniable emphasis on Centipede. That to me is the difference and if it's working blood it's working blood.

As I was about to post the story of centipede the little common sense went off. So I decided to do a search and I found it had already been posted by Evo. It's a great read ...
