Really depends. I bred my Mims Redboy female to a Holland bred male named Bobby (FleetwoodXJabbarbox). He was a heck of a dog and in turn thru a heck of a female. I bred her to a go getter of a Mims dog and I have a 3 year old male that will soon be deemed cold. 5/8 red boy from all night scratching parents and he has yet to show interest.

Some threads on here about the Holland dogs. Some rumors about Holland buying some Jackson bred dogs. Within a generation the Holland dogs were thick hided, rough, durable and hard mouthed dogs. Another version is that after the Mims dogs were blended with the Bolio blood (Clemens Midnite (Bull Boy Bob) with great success the Bolio blood was infused. The only difference is that the Mims dogs show the influx and the Holland lines do not.

I'm a Red Boy fan. The Holland dogs are not my first choice but I have been pleased with what I have owned. Hendrix Red Ruby was a good one.

No offense intended. No disrespect to any involved.

His parents were both bulldogs. Ramera de Negra was a fair dog, a lot of brains, no mouth and a whole lot of heart.

We had one bred really similar to Sluggo and did not show interest til 3 and did not fully turn on to 3 1/2. Won 4 by the time he was 5.

Good luck with the Holland pup.

A number of years back there were a few around here off of Cadillac and Hot Sauce. The dogs would go all night. They were soft mouthed and thin skinned.

This dog could flat shut it down. He had a hide more like show leather. When bred to a Mims Jiggs bitch he threw Red Ruby. A slick head fighting Red Boy dog with a hard mouth. I never seen any of our Mims Red Boy dogs with hide like she and her sire did.

Along that time is when the rumors started. It could have very well just worked out that way.

I have seen a few of the Holland dogs I would love to own. I almost owned Bobby and would have bred that dog to any and everything I owned.

I recall when the first red boy dogs were imported this si my experience

    1) they were extremely winded much like the 80's Patrick dogs
    2) calm under pressure they didn't mind taking the bottom
    3) U could bring em light I mean really light
    4) and why I never got them 1 red boy dog could fuck up the whole yard with their screaming and crying ( where patrick dogs would whine these red boy dogs would scream all day )

I recall getting a jeep red boy cross , when I called the dude and said damn this dog is noisy , he said oh I forget to tell you they do that all day

    Agree for the most part.

My Red Boy dogs can't hold a light to the noise my Patrick dogs kept (Rick Rude/Toothless Jack bred). They barked just to be barking. All day and all night.
