First two matches I ever saw were on the same card. It was a great card for my then-mentor, Lineman, when Rowdy Kennels' Ch Rojo won his Championship over Mexican Dan's Wiggles, and when Lineman's Ch Pee Wee won his Championship over Busenbark's Walter ... as both of these males were out of Lineman's Fireball (2xW), a half sister to Crum's Caribou that Hollingsworth bred to.

This was back in 1990, and unfortunately both of those Champion males wound up stopping at some point down the road ...

Still, Ch Pee Wee was bred to his ½-sister Lineman's Rosa (the mother of Bandana's sire Rockside's Charlie Boy), to get the double-Fireball male Lineman's Lil Pee Wee (2xW).

Ch Rojo was also bred and produced Rowdy Kennels' Ch Mikey, who stopped Fat Bill & TVK's Ch Chomper from winning #5 and making Grand Champion ... by riding him out on the head into exhaustion/frustration ... but Mikey ultimately stopped too, I believe, in a later match. (Ch Chomper won 2 more, I think, and was supposed to be a real beast ... as long as someone didn't ride him out )

The Fireball blood was good, good, solid blood ... but for some reason never could get up there, win-wise. Interestingly, Ch Mikey's mama (Rowdy Kennels' Betty Boo), was out of Merritt's Jessie ... and Merritt's Jessie was the littermate sister to Merritt's Ethyl ... who, when bred to the pure Carver's Black Widow/Judy male, Carver's Bob Tail, produced the greatest head dog who ever lived, Ken Allen's Ch Robert T (9xW, 1xL).

Those were the days! Not much to worry about, in terms of cops or the law (there was no such thing as the internet) ... and I was just getting my own foundation stock together at that point ... and going through them.
Still, I wish I had the benefit of the internet back then, or at least the hindsight I have now, plus some of these pedigree tools, to research what-was-what back then when I had access to all of it.

What are the first shin-digs some of you ever saw?
