What's your preferred way to pack on good lean muscle before you start the cut down?

Im trying the fattening balls with my own kick.

5lbs of 73/27 beef
2 cups oats
2 cups of vegetable oil
1 cup of melted lard
1lbs of egg noodles boiled
5 cans of drained mackerel
Mixed all together then made into 1 cup ball.
Feed two balls a day after hand walk
makes about 12 days worth

Any comments or other methods, please post
