My dog has the runs for the past 3 days any suggestions?

First day is fasting, then a few days with rice and chiken, but you are already in there three days. How is water consumption? dehydration is always a danger in these cases. I would seek some help, a drug named sulfamicine is always an option for me.

How much rice and chicken per meal if its a pup

cooked brown rice and chicken that is. more rice then chicken.

give him 5 little meals, thats easier on the stumic.

let him drink the water from the cooked rice (cooled down ofc)

you can also get some "stop" pills/pasta at your vet, without prescription.

Guys for a pup I run to the vet, I never risk it. Lets say I cook a cup of rice, which ofcourse triples its volume with the added water, I also cook it with a chiken breast in, no bones just fillet, and divide it in many meals, minimum three. I just give it to help the dog to preserve some strength, I do not aim to offer the usual daily caloric intake.

Thanks for all the info he is a 6 yr old male and it happened after I had him on the treadmill
