That's when having them weighted collars come into play. Your dog's neck is like a rock, he grab a mouth full of chest and shake the sh*t out of it, at this time the other dog lets go and look like a piece of rag. It's head and body hitting the wall....
The neck is the strongest and hardest part of a dog next to its jaws so I don't see why it could hurt one with weights. There's a reason most pits are sitting on the chain everyday.
