Max weight for a conditioned pitbull ADBA

    Hi!

I would ask you a question:

Do you know breeder who breed big ADBA pitbulls?

I want to know if there are pitbull bigger than 40 kg conditioned...

I know that there are catchweight pitbulls... But they are 30-36 conditioned

I MEAN PITBULL ADBA... Not Bandog or UKC CROSS...

And in your life how much weight was the max pitbull conditioned ?

    Thanks

Anyone who breeds large adba dogs is probably into weight pull and more than likely they are bandogges. If you lookinh for a 80+lbs working dog thay is purely game bred you should search for those that use them on wild hogs.

    Good luck

Hello Will888. Some of the largest catch weight APBT dogs I have seen. Were off the Paladin, Bully Son, Joe Beal and Burn's and Tant dogs. My Chuck dog put a few big ones on the ground when crossed into the Beal dogs and Burn's dogs.

If you are a member of on line pedigrees you can see a picture of one of them. The dog's name is Foust's Sandman dog id= 26222. Was 80 pounds on the chain. A really big Carver-Tudor looking dog. Huge head and muscles in the jaws. Big or bigger than the P. Carver's Stompanato dog. Doubt you want anything bigger than a 80 pound catch weight APBT.

Mr. Beal's last stud dog was his Southern Johnny Reb dog he got from me. He wanted to try some Carver dogs with his stock. He bred the Johhny Reb dog till he died. Do not know what happen to all those dogs. Someone named Reynolds I met once had the last of Mr. Beal's dogs. R. Morris had some off Chuck and Amber. Morris got busted along with R. Jones so all his dogs probably were destroyed. Cheers

will888, I will answer your questions from your e-mail simply as I know how. First Catch Weight APBT start around 52 pounds to around 90 pounds. This is the weight of the dog sitting on the chain. So properly conditioned will weigh less.

Next if their was no weight classes and it was basically a free for all. Larger breeds of dogs like Big Mastiff breeds would win most of the time when having a big weight advantage. That is still according to what each group's understanding of winning is. Some of the highly talented hard mouth bigger APBT would win over some of the bigger breeds. Still according to what ever groups call winning. Example one dog whines or one dog backs up 5 steps or many other yadda yadda yays.

Now if you take any other breed of Mastiffs, Dobermans, Rottweiler's etc. or what ever breed you chose. Put them in a 16 foot show ring and let them have at it. One will quit or both. Use the Cajun rules one or the other will quit much faster. None of these breeds as a whole will show gaminess under Cajun rules because they were not selectively bred for such. Using smaller dogs for; as you said gambling. Has nothing to do with it. Some dog men like the bigger dogs and others prefer the smaller weights. Is just a matter of choice and the bloodlines one happen to chose.

A APBT is pound for pound one of the most powerful animals in the World. If you could blow them up to the size of a Lion, Tiger, or Bear. They would most probably and easily dominate these animals.

There was many years ago, a 80 pound well built solid black Plot hound in my area, called Cool Hand Luke. Was one very good Catch, Hog dog. Cool Hand Luke also built up a reputation of stopping a lot of smaller APBT, when pulled out on open ground. The owner, some of his hound dog group pooled up some money and challenged H. Teal to a dog pull. Mr. Teal accepted the challenge and for them to come to his place on such a day.

They went into the 16 foot show ring and Mr. Teal brought out a 80 pound catch weight APBT. That had a head big as a five gallon bucket. Huge heavy boned Bulldog. Cool Hand Luke lasted every bit of 5 minutes before he ran and jumped the show ring. So it is a moot point to pull APBT against other breeds. Both dogs should be the same weight, are pulling in a 16 ft. show ring and using the Cajun rules.

The human races that developed the best sporting animals were the English-Scotch-Irish. Best Game Cocks-Best Race Horses and best Game dogs. The Communist and the Socialist Parties hate these type events because it teaches men about gaminess ,courage, tenacity and to stand ones ground against all odds and Tyranny. Cheers
