Thread: The Cockers are together, why aren't we?

most likely no one will, because we are scared of the system, which is a shame because we breed bulldogs who laugh at death, makes me wonder sometimes are we even worthy of owning them.

in my country we had pitbull ban for 15 years, which has been lifted since 5 years. when they just became a banned breed, most fanciers discarded their dogs while the real dog man kept a hold of them. I wasnt active back then but i can only imagine how hard it was to do so in such a densely country and the law hunting for pitbulls.

most of that same people now wish that ban still existed so only the real dogman remain again and maintain in silence. keeping the funny people and attention away from the breed.

even tho ( at this moment while things are still good) im happy i can openly hold them and walk them in the day time, in my vision that is a far better, more realistic desire in modern day, than wanting to legalize dogfighting. which is a step in a whole other direction.

I use to go up to Box Woods on the N.C./Virginia line with him to see some great cockers compete. Was a lot of fun back then to spend the weekend at his house. Tar Heel Matt would come over sometimes back when he was a young fellow in his early twenties.

One day as we were sitting and talking, he says to me. You know since I have been in this dog game for awhile and dealt with a lot of various dog men and buying dogs etc. I have found the Game cockers are a hell of a lot more honest in selling good Cocks and brood stock than what many dog men are peddling. I had a good laugh with him and said maybe by Chickens having less genetic chromosomes than a dog. The gaminess can be better cloned in a chicken. LOL I knew what he meant and sometimes it was very true but not always. Cheers
I did my thing out in Southern Cali..Back then I wasn't smart enuff to go down south n enjoy the action there, but I had many good men telling "what the hell r u thinking getting involved w/dogs?Those guys r nutn but crooks n peddlers...lol...
