As for my Butcherboy gyp, she is down from a McCool's/Coy cross. Now that I have access to both LG & Leonard hounds it may be something cooked up here in the future. Btw I like my LG stuff heavier Trouble or Jacoby due to the Emile.

I also had stuff from jacoby . I didnt had luck with em , the ones of troubleson has health issues as well.

I've never tried any Lacefields blood. Got a buddy in Tx that tried it and moved onto the LG stock. Just curious what were the health issues. I know the Lunsford dogs are known for throwing blind ones. But from what I hear, most of those ones will tear into your ass, lol.
Yeah Tucker dogs throw those blind and cold dogs too. Rascal was blind partially and loss that way I was told. Shirley and Miss Red were cold along with Crybaby and another male who is blind and cold off her and had a blind sister. We talked about that cold male the other night you me and Steely. Them tight bred carver dogs got something going on genetically. I believe they say it started with Tarbaby in the back of those dogs. Also heard Jacoby wasn't bred as said but off One Eyed Rick. Not sure how true that is though. Heard a couple here say it and saw Bulldoghistorian mention it. I've been on other boards with him and know he is very knowledgeable and respected. Crazy thing is with all that said they have still performed solid crossed and straight. Just probably not at the highest degree.

Yessir, I remember the convo, and you were right. The one I was looking into was down from the blind winner. Was also offered a Tucker bred stud, or something off him bred to the Dam of my gyp. I'll send the link, maybe you can do me a favor and see if you find any weak links in it. It would be appreciated greatly.
Never heard that about Jacoby, but then again it's been yrs since I was in that loop.
Also, again your correct. Something's I noticed quickly about Bulldog Historian was that he seemed to be knowledgeable and reasonable from his posts. I love talking dogs, especially these strains of this particular family. So I hope this convo continues
